Description
We have searched far and wide to find and test the most practical TENS units for tVNS. This is a good simulator unit for tVNS because:
- it is easily programmable with the required parameters.
- it is simple to use, and unlikely to accidentally change settings.
- batteries included and 2x compatible lead wires to connect to the tragus clip (as do most common TENS kits).
- good range of intensity adjustment via dial.
We will load the battery and pre-programme this unit for you so that all you have to do is fit the clip and turn the dial to start.
We will programme the device to a setting commonly used for transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation. The settings can be altered; please consult your health care practitioner for further advice about settings that may be appropriate for you.
To get you started we usually set:
- normal/constant mode
- frequency: 25Hz
- pulse width: 50uS
- timer: 5 minutes

The settings listed above are default and you or your health professional can easily change the settings at home or in the clinic at any time later. Please work with your health professional as required.
