tVNS Kits
A common question is what’s the difference between each of the kits we offer? Check the comparison table below:
Also, which one is better? They are all well suited for tVNS. All devices in our webstore have been carefully selected. To make the shortlist they must have:
- Smooth output response with gradual increase of intensity, and easy adjustability, when used with small ear clip electrodes.
- Compatibility with tragus clip ear electrodes, choice of left, right, or universal.
- Programme lock or other method to avoid accidental changes of settings.
- We fit the battery, preset the device for tVNS, and add the programme lock so you don’t have to bother with settings right out the box.
- Relatively inexpensive, while still ticking the boxes above, so that cost is not an unreasonable barrier to a trial or adoption of tVNS.

If we were to give more guidance we could say:
- If you have shaky fingers, buttons might be better than a dial, so get kit 2 or 3.
- If you don’t want to deal with 9V batteries and like a USB recharge, then get kit 2.
- If you’ve heard that Neurotrac MultiTens is the best and want this, then get kit 3.
- If your’e not bothered by any of the above and just want something that works well at the lowest price, then kit 1.
TENS units, and ear clip electrodes are available separately, but the pricing is better to buy as a kit.
