Description
We have searched far and wide to find and test the most practical TENS units for tVNS. This is a good simulator unit for tVNS because:
- it is easily programmable with the required parameters.
- it is simple to use, and (with mode button cover) unlikely to accidentally change settings.
- USB rechargeable so no need for battery replacements
- 1x standard lead wires to connect to the tragus clip (as do most common TENS kits).
- 1x Synthetic load wire is included.
- Easy to use buttons and a good range of fine adjustment when used with our own synthetic load wire (included).
This TENS device has an abrupt output response when used with a variety of small ear clip electrodes. The response is improved greatly with our synthetic load wires and these are strongly recommended. If you buy this TENS from our webstore, the synthetic load wire is included in the box.
We pre-programme this unit for you so that all you have to do is fit the clip and turn the unit on and press the intensity buttons.
We will programme the device to a setting commonly used for transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation. The settings can be altered; please consult your health care practitioner for further advice about settings that may be appropriate for you.
To get you started we usually set:
- normal/constant mode
- frequency: 25Hz
- pulse width: 50uS
- timer: 5 minutes
Other setting are available on request: please contact us or leave a comment in the order notes at the checkout. The settings listed above are default and you or your health professional can easily change the settings at home or in the clinic at any time later. Please work with your health professional as required.
This device has a lot of buttons; to make the device more foolproof, and eliminate accidental change of settings, we fit a cover to the mode and settings buttons. These buttons can still be pressed using a toothpick, paperclip or similar. Please contact us, or make a note in the order comments, if you do not want the cover fitted. We can just add it to the package and you can fit it yourself later if necessary.
